Clear mornings, rainy afternoons

A few weeks ago we had something close to a warm version of Seattle weather. That is, overcast or raining all the time. But, we now seem to back to normal rainy season weather. At least for some value of normal.

That normal seems to be clear and sunny mornings with rain starting somewhere between 1230 and 1500. Sometimes it only rains for an hour, other times until after dark. Rain during the night is also not uncommon.

This is, of course, rainy season weather. In November this wet stuff goes away until after Semana Santa. So, how does this translate into lifestyle here?

For the public market, really no change. The outside vendors are usually set up pretty early and by rain time they are ready to head back home. While there will be less street vendors, most people with stalls have something to cover the stall or at least their products

Finally, it is not particularly cold when it is raining. For example, Rocio and Andrea didn’t see any reason why a little rain should impact their idea to take Fred for a walk. As we liked to say in Seattle, “It’s just liquid sunshine”. The difference is that your don’t die of hypothermia after the walk.
