A Green TukTuk?

Red, yellow and even blue. But, a strange green one?

Red, yellow and even blue. But, a strange green one?

If you have ever been in Panajachel or pretty much any of the other towns on the lake you will realize there are no shortage of TukTuks. There are lots of privately operated ones and a few that are associated with restaurants or hotels.

The majority of the TukTuks are red. There are some yellow ones but that is but a very small percentage. I have also seen at least one blue one. But, what about green?

Well, here you go. A very strange green-colored one. Looking inside it becomes obvious that it started out its life as a blue one. I don’t know the history but the color is that used by the transit police. So, yes, even the PMT have a TukTuk. I doubt, however, they use it to chase down speeders and other traffic offenders.
