When I applied for my DPI I only had a temporary address. That is, a place I knew I would not be living but you need an address in Guatemala. While I live in Panajachel, my DPI has an address of Santa Catafina Pinula. I wondered if I should change it.
A couple of weeks ago I had to go to the RENAP office for a totally unrelated reason. While I was there I figured I should ask. The answer was “If you want to change it you can but it isn’t important to us.”
That surprised me but it really was the answer I hoped to hear. That means that if, for some reason, you want your current address on your DPI, you need to pay the Q85 and request a new one. If not, no action is required.
